Consider this:
During construction work in civil engineering,
large quantities of soil and materials are either
removed or put to use. Discarded materials
can often be reused locally or in other projects,
but this does not apply to every situation or
every waste material.
Special attention is warranted when soil,
foundation or road materials from older civil
engineering are concerned.
Materials can be difficult to reuse as a result of:
- External contamination from environmentally
hazardous substances (spilled oil products,
industrial contaminations)
- Use in combination with products that were
deemed to be environmentally hazardous at a
later date (such as asbestos, materials
containing tar, slag- and ash remains)
- Mixing with or damage from other materials,
such as tempex (soil sprayed with the fire
resistant product HBCD)
- Stricter environmental regulations
For building materials such as tar-containing
asphalt, foundation materials for roads, roof
mastic containing tar, tempex or soil and
materials released during remediation work,
there was not always a responsible solution at
hand. But in view of the scope and
environmental impact of these projects, a
realistic and technically sound solution of the
problem is imperative. At no point should that
solution be financially or socially irresponsible.

The answer:
Environmentally contaminated or hazardous building
materials and civil engineering waste should be
processed into a safe and certified raw building
material. That is the most desirable and promising
solution to the current problem. The sustainable
approach is what Bouwstofpartners BV brings to the
table.
The goal of Bouwstofpartners is to work responsibly
and sustainably , in order to make their client's lives
easier.
For that purpose, Bouwstofpartners BV forms
alliances with qualified companies who are able to
process environmentally hazardous or contaminated
materials in such a way that the end product is a
certified building material that is legal to use in the
Netherlands, with the appropriate governmental
qualification and certification.
The intermediate storage, procedural safeguarding
of the material and transport to a certified
processing facility, as well as supervision of the
process wherein discarded materials are turned into
qualified raw building material can be put in the
hands of Bouwstofpartners BV.
